The Beauty of Black Point

At the very end of Indian Avenue in Portsmouth, lies a very special location called Black Point. The lucky residences of this private enclave have access to one of the most pristine and wildly lovely waterfront locations on Aquidneck Island.

The natural beauty of the coastline with its many majestic rock formations is accessible to residents only via the sweetest little path running along the shore.

Some homes in this beautiful sanctuary even have private paths to the private path, making the experience of leisurely strolling to the beach one of those memories that people will cherish for a lifetime.

Besides the ocean which contains a naturally-protected mooring field for residents of Black Point, another magnificent feature is the towering copper beech trees lining Black Point Lane. They are so tall, so commanding and so stately; they can take your breath away.

Have you ever seen anything so lovely as the canopy they create over the lane?

Thinking back over time and memories, many times we are left with an impression or a feeling rather than remembering what we did each minute of each day. When I walk along the beach path on Black Point Lane, I can’t help but think of all the people through the years, adults and children, even dogs! who have walked this path to the water. So many wonderful memories for those who have lived here, and so many wonderful experiences yet to come for those who will make their homes here in the future.
